I have participated in other local Boot Camps.  I came across ML Athletics Billerica Boot Camp at the beginning of 2010.  I was so excited to join that I wanted to go every day trying to get a head start on my New Year’s resolution.  Mike told me to take it slow and make sure I liked it the format.  Which was opposite from the other
Boot Camps.  This past summer I participated in a 8 week summer challenge.

I had Mike and Kelly at my disposal for answers to my questions and the occasional pep talks. I wrote down everything I ate for eight weeks.  I had a motto “I bite I write”.  It was eye opening.  I was eating a lot of carbohydrates. I really thought I had a well balanced diet. I tweaked my diet with advice from Kelly and Mike.   Along with doing Boot Camp I was able to lose six pounds and I lost over 5 inches, and all this over 8 weeks in the middle of summer.

Due to this challenge I am now weight lifting and eating for health (not for emotion) and on to my next fitness venture. Who would have thought that a “8 week challenge” would have changed my life that way it has.

  1. The first step to improving your diet is awareness. Record everything you eat and drink for three days – any two weekdays and one weekend day. We will require this information to assess and develop a nutrition plan for you.
  2. Try to record your meals immediately after you eat (can you remember what you had for lunch two days ago?). It is essential that you record three typical days, not just “good” days. Also, do not record your intake on any day that is unusual or when you don’t feel well. The more detailed (and honest!) you are, the better we can assist you.
  3. Call Michael 978 269 4070 or email michael@mlathletics.com to schedule your nutrition consult. Bring your completed food records to your appointment.
  4. Come to your scheduled nutrition appointment. The initial meeting typically covers healthy weight ranges, realistic goals, resources for becoming more physically active, and will address any specific questions you have.
  5. Improving your eating and physical activity habits takes time and commitment, but can make you feel better, reduce your stress level, and help you stay in good health now and in the future.
Our Nutrition Program is not a quick fix, it is a lifestyle change that will assist you making small changes each day until you are on track to living the lifestyle.
